Greetings Friends,
As always summer went by in a flash and fall is upon us with all its splendor. Itβs a wonderful time to appreciate Godβs creations and reflect on the importance of faith, hope, and service to others.
The 2025 Nancyβs Vision Youth Turkey Hunt was again a resounding success Thanks to your support and generosity. This yearβs event was again hosted at the Outdoor Insiders where over 400 folks including 150 young hunters enjoyed a day of great food, educational programs, tons of give-a-ways and much more.
The contributions we provided from funds raised this year speak to the overall success of the event. We are so very pleased to share the breadth of the impact you helped achieve. We presented a check in the amount of $48,000 to the Catch-A-Dream Foundation. This will provide once-in-a-lifetime hunting or fishing adventures to eight children who are battling life-threatening medical conditions.
Additionally, we again presented a $1,000 scholarship to a local Forest City High School senior who will be pursuing a degree in the healthcare field.
A $500 donation was also made to a dear friend and supporter of Nancyβs Vision who spent three months in and out of the hospital battling a serious health condition. Thankfully he is now recuperating at home.
A $250 donation was provided to the Lenoxville Sportsmens Club to help continue with their trout Stocking program. This program benefits fishing opportunities for local kids within our community.
We still have remaining funds that will be used to help jumpstart next yearβs event scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026. Please mark your calendars! Some additional funds will also be used for contributions to similar worthy causes at the approval of our Board and Committee.
Nancyβs Vision is continuing to grow working to attain tax exempt non-profit organization status which will allow us to provide more help to those in need. It is our hope and goal to continue to support the wonderful work of the Catch-A-Dream Foundation. We also hope to continue making a major impact on needs within our local community, especially those that would have been important to our Nancy.
